SOC Engineer

As a SOC Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents for Syntory customers.

Key Goals

  • Proactively monitor security events and incidents within the SOC.
  • Analyze security incidents and implement appropriate countermeasures.
  • Onboard new customers to our SOC services and/or EDR/XDR solutions
  • Improve existing SOC services and develop new cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications & qualities

You have a degree in an IT direction and a passion for Cybersecurity. You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a related security operations role.

Your skillset consists of a broad awareness about trends related to malware, threats and vulnerabilities. Hands-on experience with security tooling related to SIEM, NDR & EDR/XDR. Knowledge of network security solutions (NG Firewall, NAC, VPN, …) is an advantage. In addition, you also know the basics of Windows and Linux.

In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and protocols. Certifications are certainly a plus.

You have a voice in the technical team, you are always listened to and because of your experience are a mentor to other team members. You are a social person, communicative, flexible and you can work independently. You are quick witted and learn quickly from other colleagues and also pass on knowledge yourself.

You currently live in the Benelux and you speak and write fluently in Dutch, French and English.
